Bridging Aging and Technology

The session brought together three presentations exploring how human-robot interaction (HRI) and virtual reality (VR) can address the needs of people across age groups. Topics included:

  • Interactions with collaborative robots and human colleagues across different age groups.
  • Assistive robots that support social engagement for older adults.
  • Inclusive virtual reality design and accessibility barriers for older adults.

This professional service contributed to the exchange of research on aging, accessibility, and human-centered technology within the HFES community.
