ISE 463/663 - Predictive Analytics for Decision Making II
Spring 2025 | Undergraduate/Graduate
Developed a new course covering statistical learning, multilayer perceptrons, deep neural networks, CNNs, RNNs, optimization, and engineering applications in Python. A course project developed into a student first-author conference paper and an M.S. thesis research direction.
ISE 380 - Work and Systems Design
Fall 2024, Fall 2025, Fall 2026 | Undergraduate
Redesigned the course around experiential learning, hands-on laboratories, and a field study with GE Appliances. Topics include time study, work sampling, ergonomics, workplace design, system safety, and hazard reduction. One student team transformed a course project into the first UofL undergraduate presentation accepted at an international HFES meeting.
ISE 360/560 - Probability and Statistics for Engineers
Spring 2024, Fall 2025, Fall 2026 | Undergraduate/Graduate
Teach probability, random variables and distributions, estimation, hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, and simple linear regression. Added engineering-based examples, in-class problem solving, and pre-exam workshops to strengthen engagement and mastery.
