A campus visit brought high school students from northern Kentucky's Ignite Institute to the MINDxAI Lab on February 26, 2026. The driving simulator demonstration was part of an Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) mini-camp within their day at the University of Louisville, which also included an engineering facilities tour and a student panel.

A Lab Visit in Small Groups

Dr. Yunmei Liu and lab member Udit Kumar Das hosted a series of short demonstrations. The visiting groups split into smaller groups for the driving simulator and Beyond Reality lab tour, allowing students to get a closer look at each research setting. The compact format fit the simulator experience into a wider introduction to ISE that also featured logistics and training-design activities.

Feedback collected after the visit included a section on the driving simulator experience. The outreach team also reported positive feedback from Ignite Institute's administration and interest in returning for another visit.
