NeuroCanvas seizure detection project visual
NeuroCanvas explores visual representations of multi-channel EEG signals for VLLM-powered seizure detection.

The MINDxAI Lab’s NeuroCanvas project, led by Yan, received Third Place at the University of Louisville Department of Industrial & Systems Engineering Research & Innovation Competition (Spring 2026).

From Yan:

I am honored to share that our work received Third Place πŸ† at the University of Louisville Department of Industrial & Systems Engineering Research & Innovation Competition β€” Spring 2026 πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰

Our project, NeuroCanvas 🧠, explores how multi-channel EEG signals can be reformulated as dense visual representations for VLLM-powered seizure detection. By converting EEG signals into compact visual canvases, our work aims to support more accurate and robust seizure detection.

I am grateful to my co-author from the MINDxAI Lab, Moajjem Hossain Chowdhury, and my PhD advisor, Dr. Yunmei Liu, for their contributions and support throughout this work πŸ’ͺ🏻. I also want to thank the UofL Department of Industrial & Systems Engineering for providing an inspiring research environment and hosting this competition.
